Dr. Bilgehan Bicer is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation specialist based in Ankara, Turkey. With expertise spanning musculoskeletal disorders, chronic pain management and rehabilitation therapies, the practice serves patients across central Turkey. Despite strong clinical credentials, the practice had limited online visibility and was losing potential patients to larger hospital networks and health portals dominating search results.
The practice had an outdated website that was not optimised for search engines. Patients searching for medical conditions and treatments were finding large health portals and hospital websites instead of the specialist who could actually treat them.

We applied the SDL Growth Method starting with a complete website redesign followed by a systematic SEO strategy. Phase one focused on building a modern, mobile-first medical website with proper technical SEO foundations including site structure, schema markup and Core Web Vitals optimisation. Phase two introduced condition-specific educational content targeting high-intent patient queries, combined with on-page optimisation and image SEO. Phase three established Search Console monitoring and performance tracking to measure impact and guide ongoing optimisation decisions.
Designed and built a modern, mobile-first medical website with clean navigation, fast load times and a professional design that builds patient trust. The new site architecture was structured to support SEO from the ground up with proper heading hierarchy, internal linking and schema markup.
Implemented comprehensive technical SEO including site speed optimisation, mobile responsiveness, XML sitemap, robots.txt configuration, structured data markup for medical practice and MedicalCondition schemas, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
Developed condition-specific educational articles covering topics like candida, HRV, post-antibiotic gut flora recovery and chronic urticaria. Each article was written to E-E-A-T standards with the doctor's clinical expertise front and centre, targeting high-intent patient queries.
Optimised title tags, meta descriptions, heading structures and internal linking across all pages. Mapped keywords to specific pages and ensured each condition page targeted a distinct keyword cluster to avoid cannibalisation.
Optimised medical images with descriptive alt text, proper file naming, compressed file sizes and responsive image delivery. This unlocked Google Image Search as a significant traffic channel, generating 473 additional clicks per quarter.

Within 16 months, the practice went from near-invisible to ranking on page one for its most commercially valuable medical queries. The last three months alone saw 1,790 organic clicks (up 89% from the previous quarter) and 211K impressions (up 133%). Average position improved to 5.5, with 92% of all traffic coming from non-branded queries — meaning patients are discovering the practice through condition searches, not just by name.
